Welcome to Hood Canal Hideaway


If you are looking for a relaxing vacation spot for family and friends, Hood Canal Hideaway is just the place for you. We are located on the south end of Hood Canal just one mile from Alderbrook Resort, and three miles from Twanoh State Park and we are within driving distance to antique shops, wineries, the Olympic National Rainforest, Hurricane Ridge and the cities of Port Townsend and Port Angeles.

Hood Canal Hideaway is a family vacation home that sleeps up to 14 people comfortably. It is located on the southern end of Hood Canal. The two-level home takes advantage of the calm water stretch of the canal with 50-feet of shoreline. Come spend the weekend, week or more during any season and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Olympic Mountains, the beautiful sunsets with abundant clams, oysters, crab and mussels on your own beach. Later enjoy a campfire at the beach or a cozy fire indoors.

Hood Canal Hideaway is a 3,000+ sq. ft., two-story home with 50 feet of waterfront on a very calm water beach. Each floor has its own entrance, fireplace, kitchen, bathroom, living/dining room and bedrooms. Plus there is a guest house above the garage with sleeping quarters. The entire house has a large panoramic windows with beautiful views of the water and Olympic Mountains.

Upstairs has a large living room and dining room combination with water view plus brick fireplace and king-sized master bedroom with sitting area for enjoying the beach scenes. The dining area and kitchen are totally open and share the spectacular views of the saltwater beach. The dining room includes a table large enough to seat 6 people and the kitchen has an eating bar and table to seat and additional 6 people, coming equipped with dishes, glasses, and silver as well as a large assortment of pots, pans, microwave and appliances.

Downstairs has its own entrance with a walk-in kitchen, living and dining room combination with seating for 5, dishes, glasses, and silver as well as all the cooking neccessitites. There are large picture windows for viewing the beach plus a large fireplace to enjoy in the evenings. The living room includes tv/vcr combination plus an assortment of board games. The lower floor also includes a master bedroom with a full-sized bed, water view and outdoor access in addition to a full bath and queen-sized hide-a-bed in the living room. Plus, there is an extra refrigerator in the hall for storing drinks or seafood from the beach.

The guesthouse has large windows for boat-watching plus sleeping accommodations for 6, including bunk beds with full sized on the bottom and twin on top, plus two other twin beds and a futon bed. Also included are a game table and an assortment of board games. It is just a short walk from both the house and the guesthouse to the saltwater beach, where you will find a cement bulkhead with a fire pit and storage shed for your beach toys or scuba gear. Jacques Cousteau rates Hood Canal as the second best place to dive in the world. And, there are steps to the beach and mooring buoys for your boat, plus ample parking for your vehicles.

Both the upper and lower areas of the home enjoy a panoramic view of the canal with the Olympic Mountains framed in the background. The home includes separate entrances and a large deck on the upper level that wraps around the house and includes a covered sitting or eating area. Each floor has its own kitchen, dining and living room.

    Bottom Floor plus Guesthouse - $645 a week

    Low Season (October - March):

    Entire House plus Guesthouse - $1,050
    Bottom Floor plus Guesthouse - $475
    Top Floor plus Guesthouse - $575

    Low Season Weekend Rentals: (Through April 7th Only)
    Entire House 2-day weekend - $380 Entire House 3-day weekend - $540

    High Season Weekend Rentals: (April 8th Through July 7th Only)

    Cancellation policy:

    Fee of 1 night rental charge if cancelled prior to 30 days of arrival. Less than 30 days cancellation, no refund given unless we can rebook your space.

    Pets allowed with owner approval only. There is a $50 pet fee.
