This home gives one the feeling that they are
always in the great outdoors as its many
windows gives one the illusion of being “outside”. The living room and dining room flow into each other creating a light and airy feeling. Enjoy the crackling of the fireplace on a rainy or winter night, or enjoy your own sun tanning rock as you lie by the picturesque lap pool in the summer and fall months. Appreciate the art of local Napa Valley artists which will be displayed with name tags and phone numbers should you wish to contact them.
The kitchen is partially attached to the living area by a beautiful arch giving rise to easy communication between family members at all times. A sun room off of the kitchen area is great to relax in with a book or to entertain guests or family members as you cook. The kitchen is equipped with two Sub Zero units, both refrigerator and freezer. The island supports a Jenn- Air cook top with barbeque attachments and a griddle attachment. A wing off the kitchen houses a Miele washer and dryer with attached pantry.
In the back of the home two of the bedrooms are joined by an archway. One bedroom contains a queen size bed with orthopedic mattress and the second bedroom doubles as a study area with two fold up futons. Between these two rooms is a complete bathroom with a soaking tub in front of a bay window which looks out on the gorgeous redwood trees.
Upstairs lies the master bedroom suite with a King size bed, TV, and other amenities. The “piece de resistance” is the windowed wood stove in the corner adding the final cozy touch to this beautiful suite. Sit in front of the fireplace on the glider rocker and sip your coffee and read your book. A large 10 foot wide bay window looks out onto the beautiful lap pool and deck.
Extensive decking surrounds 80 % of the home. Enjoy your favorite barbeque on the gas grill as you look out over the pool and gaze at the forest beyond. It is truly like having a picnic in the park. The 50 foot pool and Hot Springs Spa are yours to enjoy. You may wish to walk down to the creek which borders the property and walk among the redwood groves.
Mt. Veeder road is a very popular biking destination which can be found in all the valley biking books. You are also surrounded by rare and more isolated wineries and vineyards. Enjoy incredible Napa Valley cuisine as close as 10 minutes away. You are only 15 minutes away from the “French Laundry” which was voted one of the best restaurants in the U.S. Because you are in the central portion of the valley you are only minutes away from Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford, and St. Helena as well as the town of Napa itself. For a really nurturing experience go up to Calistoga for a spa and/or mud bath with massage. Take a day and visit the valley’s wineries and take home a case or two. Interested in art? Visit Copia, Robert Mondavi’s gift to the arts for the Napa Valley. Enjoy all of the Napa Valley and return to your quiet and peaceful home away from it all. Sleep peacefully as you hear the wind in the redwoods and the gurgling of the creek.
