Description: Come for a day, a weekend, a week. Ashwood Hill Cottage is a fully furnished home, with two bedrooms, two baths, a fully equipped kitchen, living room with digital satellite television, VCR, DVD, and stereo, and a wood-burning Vermont Castings fireplace/stove. The master bedroom is furnished with a king-sized wrought iron bed, and features an en-suite bathroom.Exquisitely decorated with antique pieces, ceiling fan, and all natural fabrics, including 310 count bed linens and a down comforter for chilly nights. You'll want to take it home with you! A second bedroom, with its log walls, is equipped with twin beds which may be joined into a king-sized bed, a particularly nice way for two couples to enjoy the cottage. Like the master bedroom, natural linens and a ceiling fan are featured. A second bathroom is available for the occupants of this room. The spacious grounds include seven acres of grassy meadows with hardwoods and pines, and over 20 acres of woodlands adjoin. Fully a third of a mile from the country lane which brings you to Ashwood Hill, the long entrance road ensures your privacy. A firepit with bench seating and a gas barbecue grill are located behind the cottage. The cottage is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, minutes from Goshen Pass, a spectacular rocky gorge with bathing, tubing, kayaking and hiking. It is located approximately midway between Lexington and Staunton Virginia, just 12 minutes from Interstate 81. Weekday rates from $175/night for 2 persons to $275/night for 3-4 persons. Weekend and holiday rates from $190/night for 2 persons to $290/night for 3-4 persons. Weekly rate from $1000/night for 2-4 persons to $1600 for 3-4 persons. Midweek stays of 3 or more nights are discounted. State and County taxes 11% additional Deposit: We will hold your reservation based upon a credit card number. However, a deposit of 50% of the stay is required payable by check. (Please make check payable to Ashwood Hill and send to Rt. 1 Box 25 Millboro VA 24460.) Cancellation policy: A full refund, less a $25 service charge, will be made if cancellation is received at least fourteen (14) days prior to the reservation date, thirty (30) days for holidays and special events. If cancellation is made within fourteen days, we will either (1) refund your deposit, less the service charge, if we are able to rebook the dates, or (2) issue a gift certificate in the amount of the deposit good toward a future stay of greater than two (2) nights in the event we are unable to rebook the dates. This gift certificate will be valid for one (1) year from the date of cancellation and may not be used on holidays, special event dates or in October. Sorry, there are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures. Capacity: The Cottage normally accommodates a maximum of 5 persons. Length of Stay: 2-night minimum-stay required for regular rates weekdays and on all non-holiday weekends. 1-night weekday stay $200.00. Holiday Stays: 3-night minimum-stay required on certain holiday weekends. NO SMOKING PERMITTED INSIDE COTTAGE. Check-in time: 3 p.m. Earlier check-in available if not occupied the night before.
