Sit back, relax and let your cares melt away in our beautiful, BRAND-NEW, immaculate, 2 bedroom/1 bath home on the shores of Lake Sebasticook. This year round home features all the ameneties including 1 double and 1 twin bed in each bedroom (several more sleeping options available); enclosed porch, vaulted ceiling (pine boards in the Adirondack style), open concept, living room (gas fireplace), dining room, kitchen and full basement. The 3 season porch is 200 sq feet (comfy) with 180 degree views of the lake. We sit on two beautifully landscaped acres with over 250 ft of private waterfront and dock. The home is tastefully decorated and the lake is clean. This is a place where memories are made.

The location is convienent, just about 5 miles from I-95 with shopping right up the street. It is only 3 and 1/2 hrs from Boston, 30 minutes to Bangor, Fairfield and Skowhegan and less than 1 hr to the coast or to Moosehead Lake. After one stay you'll want to return again and again!!!!

FISHING-Great Bass fishing and much more; fishing licences available in town.

SNOWMOBILING-Maine has a vast network of trails systems including one trail right around the corner. In winter, snowmobile on lake.

HUNTING-Deer, wild turkey, duck, several good guides in the Newport area.

BOATING-We provide a canoe and lifejackets. If you bring your own boat, there is a public boat launch area on the lake. For motorboats you will need to have a current Maine State Milfoil sticker.

ATV-Many of the snowmobiling trails above can be used for ATV riding.

ANTIQUES-Many antiques and auctions in the area including the Fairfield Antiques Mart, which is only 30 minutes away is one of the largest in the state.

SWIMMING-The water is clean and warm.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING, ICE SKATING, SNOW SHOEING, and BICYCLING

BIRDWATCHING AND WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS-Bald Eagles, Ospreys, hawks, falcons and loons are commonly sighted. If you're lucky, you may spot a deer or even a moose!

PHOTOGRAPHY-The area abounds with opportunities for nature and wildlife photos as well as roadside oddities.

GOLF-Newport - 9 hole; Bangor, Palmyra - 18 hole; Dexter - 9 holes.

MINIATURE GOLF-Under 2 miles away.

APPLE/PUMPKIN/BLUEBERRY/STRAWBERRY picking and festivals.

FAIRS AND FESTIVALS-Tons of local agricultural and county fairs. Within 30 minutes of two of the largest state fairs (Bangor and Skowhegan).

DOG SLED RACES-Held yearly in January on Lake.

ICE FISHING-There are plenty of opportunities for ice fishing in the area. There are several ice fishing derbies all across the state of Maine. There is the Moosehead Lake Vacation and Sportsman Association Ice Derby (early March). You could also try the Indian Hill Trading Posts weigh in between Jan. 1 to March 31.

SUMMER THEATRE-Lakewood Summer Theatre - The Lakewood Summer Theater is the oldest continuing summer theater in the U.S. It was established in 1901. The Theater provides continuing performances from early June through September (comedies, dramas, and musicals). It's a wonderful way to enjoy Maine culture in Lakewood Maine.

WHITE WATER RAFTING-North Country Rivers rafting experience! Claimed to be t he finest White Water Rafting in Maine. From April through October they run white water rafting trips down the the Penobscot River, Kennebec River and the Dead River. No White Water Rafting experience is necessary. North Country Rivers provides everything you'll need for your trip; self-bailing whitewater rafts, registered Maine Whitewater Guides & river transportation. All of the white water rivers are dam controlled and flow regulated, you're ensured of a great white water rafting trip! Also nearby: Penobscot, Kennebeck, and Dead Rivers.

SCENIC TRAIN-Belfast (coast) 40 min, Unity 30 minutes.

MUSIC FESTIVALS-Including the American Folk Festival in Bangor (August).

A small discount can be arranged for multiple weeks.
Stays of less than a week will be considered at your request.
Rates may be negotiated during slow seasons.

$50 Cleaning Fee
Additional $25 fee, if you need me to provide linens.
